The Oak of Laukiai once stood almost forgotten, known only to the people of the small Rukai village. But a year ago, the community restored its surroundings and organised a celebration in its honour — a beautiful initiative that brought many good people together and reminded everyone of its quiet strength. Today, with respect, warmth, and love, the sixth generation of Laukiai is growing alongside this Oak, grateful for its shade, its silence, and its steady presence through the years.
